The 350mm Zeroing Gong is a round reactive steel target from Tom's Targets, sized at 350mm (approximately 14in) diameter for a generous, easy-to-hit face. It is cut from Hardox 500 plate steel, a harder grade than the maker uses on its smaller rimfire gongs, giving it the durability to take sustained use as a zeroing and practice target. It is designed to work with Tom's Targets' poles and chains, and with the Pro Stand, all sold separately, so it can be set up wherever suits the range or garden. The steel is left in a bare, uncoated finish rather than painted, which lets it sit outdoors through a season without a coating chipping or flaking the way a painted target eventually does — bare Hardox simply weathers to a dull grey and keeps working. Its size makes it a practical first stop for confirming zero at distance before moving on to a smaller or more demanding target, and a straightforward, durable gong for regular range use.
