The Rimfire Spinning NRA is a four-gong progressive silhouette set from Tom's Targets, built in the classic ram, turkey, pig and chicken pattern used in NRA-style metallic silhouette shooting. The gongs slot together with no fixings needed, so the set goes up and comes down quickly on the range or in the field, and it steps down in size to give a genuine test of accuracy: the ram gong is the largest at approximately 70mm diameter, the turkey and pig gongs are approximately 60mm each, and the chicken gong is the smallest at approximately 40mm diameter. All four are cut from Hardox 450 plate steel at approximately 6mm thick and rated by the maker for .22 rimfire and FAC air rifle calibres, so the set will stand up to sustained use rather than a single session. The steel is left in a bare, uncoated finish that simply weathers outdoors rather than chipping like a painted target. A stand is not included — the set is designed to work with Tom's Targets' poles, chains and stands, sold separately, and it is a genuinely useful step up from a single static gong for anyone wanting to sharpen their precision progressively.
