The Supreme Range of cartridges were introduced in 1994 as our "Flagship" game cartridge, developed to meet the demands for a Game Cartridge which would achieve good patterns and velocity at long distances. Single base progressive powders ensure very low recoil and low pressures at very high velocities. These powders enable us to make Supreme Game cartridges in true 65 mm cases (2 1/2in.) for shooting in Best English Guns with 65 mm (2 1/2in.) chambers. The range is available in shot weights from 28 to 34 grams. The lead shot is made to our specifications at a specialist lead shot manufacturing facility. Quality control includes checking the Antimony and other hardener contents as well as sphericity and surface imperfections. The lead used in the Supreme Game cartridges is formulated specifically for Game shooting.

The High Velocity Range of Lyalvale Express Biodegradable Fibre Cartridges has been designed to approximate the ballistics of Express Plastic Wadded High Velocity Cartridges. This allows sportsmen that are required to shoot only biodegradable cartridges to enjoy their sport without any loss of performance. To this end we use only the best available components. The case is red and made in the EEC. The powder is made in France by the Nobel Sport Group to the very highest standards of consistency and cleanliness. The powder is a single base fine flake powder which will burn at low pressures required by Fine English Guns. In fact the powder utilised in these cartridges is one of the slowest burning of the Vectan range to ensure the lowest pressures consistent with a clean burn. We use Selected Shot for our Competition Range. This ensures optimum patterns and performance for each type of shooting. All our shot is made in the EEC and of the highest quality. The Card Obturator in our High Velocity cartridges is of 4 mm thickness rather than the usual 2.5 or 3. This ensures good obturation which enhances the efficiency of the powder. The Fibre wad used is waxed as is the Card Obturator to protect the barrels of fine English shotguns.

The range of Lyalvale Express Steel Shot Cartridges has been designed to approximate the performance of Express Lead Shot Cartridges. The powders are made in France by the Nobel Sport Group to the very highest standards of consistency and cleanliness. The powder is a single base fine flake powder which will burn at low pressures required by Steel Shot cartridges. The Plastic Wad is designed specifically for Steel Shot with very thick walls to protect the barrels. The petals of the wad are so designed as to open approximately three metres from the muzzle allowing the pattern to form and increasing the protection factor to the barrels of the gun The Steel used in the manufacture of our cartridges has been specifically formulated to conform with the requirements for softness laid down in the C.I.P regulations. No other manufacturer can match the exacting requirements of shot except for Express. Our experience in manufacturing Steel Shot Cartridges over the past decade have made Express Cartridges the most popular in Europe. All machinery used by us to produce Steel Shot Cartridges is specifically designed for the purpose by Europes leading loading machine manufacturers to ensure the best computerised quality control of every cartridge. Our range of Hunting Steel Shot cartridges extends from 28 grams (1oz.) for Small Game shooting to High performance 3" 36 grams (1 1/4 oz.) cartridges. All are readily available and conform to the current European C.I.P regulations.

The Super Game Range of Lyalvale Express Game Cartridges are designed to kill cleanly and effectively. All Super Game products are true 70mm cases (2 3/4"). The shot weights extend from 32gm (1 1/8 oz.) to (50mm) 42 gram (1 1/2 oz.) cartridges, these have been upgraded every year with the latest in all aspects from the primer to the shot and wad.All these cartridges are loaded with Vectan Powders made in Brittany, France. The shot is made to our specifications at a specialist lead shot manufacturing facility. Quality control includes checking the Antimony and other hardener contents as well as sphericity and surface imperfections thus ensuring very uniform patterns for a clean kill. The plastic wad ensures a very efficient burn and protects the shot from deformation. The Plastic Wad is designed to protect the shot and open at the muzzle to prevent the wad from scattering the shot when the shot leaves the muzzle. The result of all the technical improvements is a range of superb cartridges made specifically for the Game enthusiast. As the sales of Express cartridges increased so did the demand for new products. In 1995 it was decided to introduce a range of .410 (36 gauge) cartridges. Again the development team at Express sprung into action, armed with the requisites of the shooters they developed a range of .410 cartridges to satisfy the criteria of the shooters. The range currently consists of three cartridges, firstly a 2 inch cartridge suitable for the olde English classic guns, a 2 ½ inch for the majority of guns and last but not least a powerful 3 inch magnum shell for those shooters who demanded more power.All .410 Cartridges have tempered shot with other hardening alloys. This shot is made to our exacting requirements.The powders used for .410 Cartridges are Vectan powders made in France by the Nobel Sport Group to the very highest standards of consistency and cleanliness. The powders are double base flake powders which will burn at low pressures ensuring the very uniform patterns demanded by knowledgeable shooters. The Plastic Wad is designed to for maximum efficiency and to open the pattern at the muzzle for maximum effect.
