New gloves are not perfect for me in that the thumbs are a bit too long & they feel a bit tight across the knuckles & I have small bones !! I'm not sure that I could could wear them for working as it's difficult closing my fingers to pick things up ! They are warm but I'm not sure about being waterproof !

There caps are a much better idea, as they keep all the brass and pins in the tumbler with no mess or spills.
