How long will it last?

The battery was received with a voltage of less than 3 volts. If Lead-acid batteries are discharged below a critical point (about 10.5 volts for a 12 volt pack, so 5 volts or so for a 6volt pack), they suffer internal damage, reducing capacity and life expectancy.

I read an existing review making the same comment. Have these been on the shelf for a long time? Lead-Acid gel/AGM batteries do not have a high self-discharge rate, so this requires some explanation.

Battery arrived on time, happy with that, ordering was easy and quick, however, when j installed the brand new battery, it had less than half charge, disappointed with that....
