Great Boots - inadequate lacing

Ordered these boots to replace a previous pair of Hercules hogs boots that had given 10 years good service.

Unfortunately the main change was that the number of hooks have been reduced from 2 to 1 and the top fastening was a 180° fitting with the lace captive within it.

As I take my boots on and offI frequently throughout the day I would not be able to use this lace up arrangement as the lack of the second hook restricts the ability to open the boot up widely enough to make taking on and off easier.

These are good boots but this arrangement will not work for me and I shall be sadly returning them.

I did order a pair of Hoggs L5s and these do have a double hook at the top and I shall be keeping these and although that they are not as comfortable as the Hercules I can work with the lacing arrangement of these boots.

The service from Bushwear was also 2nd to none and I was very happy with that.

Excellent bit of kit, only used once so far, but very happy.

Only criticism is that seat seems fairly small (I am normal stature and weight),

Good value for money gilet but sizing is very poor ( no fault of Bushwear). I've had to order one that is at least 2 sizes above what I normally buy

However, in this day and age where knife Crime is an issue, I was very surprised that I didn’t have to sign for it!!

Very powerful spring and sensitive sear setting

Seem a good quality trap. Have caught 1 rat so far however I think the problem is bait selection. I suspect mice are eating most of the bait so far but will keep trying to get the rest
