With over 100 years of history in the rugged New Zealand outdoors, the iconic Swanndri brand consistently produces rugged, functional hunting clothing that keep you warm and comfortable no matter the weather.

Founded in 1913 by William Broome who produced a wool ‘bush shirt.’ Although Broome was a tailor, he noticed that farmers and forestry workers of the time were not equipped for the tough conditions of Taranaki winters, and that’s what inspired him to create the first Swanndri bush shirt or “Swanni”. The first bush shirt, had a collar and short sleeves and was treated with a secret formula which made the water roll of the back of the garment like water did off a Swan, and hence the name, Swanndri.

Now the same design philosophy has been applied with other modern material like fleece to round out an outstanding collection of shooting and stalking clothing for any job outdoors.

Beautiful quality( but quite long )!

Love this and it will definitely last me! I’m going to take it up a bit though, I’m 5,4 and the small fits well but is a wee bit long, but would be great for keeping dry if you didn’t mind though! Love the colour.

And shape not right for a woman with hips!!! Yes shoulders with room to move … but looks odd as no consideration to hips ….. come on people shepherdesses are sometimes curvy and need those curves catered for!!!!

Silence is Golden...or Green!

I feel comfortable wearing this jacket. It's non restrictive, and it's quiet. It's my favourite colour. I love that it's made from natural fibres (wool) and breathable. I personally love the style, but I have to warn you my kids asked why I was dressed as an Elf. They said I looked like a medieval pig farmer and like the sort of person that would put a potato on their head to alleviate a headache.
I still like it very much and wear it every day. It's a very useful and wearable jacket. I like that it's an unusual style. After all, who wants to be a sheep?

Well made, but far too long if you are 5’ 5”.

I bought this for my daughter for her birthday she loved it, it fitted her beautifully and looked amazing with her red hair but unfortunately l am having to send it back as it is far too long , she has little legs like Tony the pony.
